Charity Begins at Home
The sun has been shining for 2 days and I’m happy!
I’ve never been a fan of gloomy weather and the storm that came last weekend was definitely something no one wished for.
Yesterday was our house help’s birthday and despite all the rescue and relief efforts going on around the metro, i thought it was important that she still got her celebration.
She has been with my hubby’s family since they were young and has remained loyal to them through all these years. What would we do without her putting hot food on the table and making sure all the chores we asked of her at home were done?
On the table for the celebration were Chinese food from Jade Palace. This is my father in law’s favorite place to buy food for celebrations.
Yang Chow Fried Rice
What i like about their fried rice aside from the hefty serving is the good mix of meat, seafood, egg and peas. None of us gets content with one serving when this rice is set on the table.
Beef with Broccoli
The beef is always tender and the mix of mushrooms, broccoli and the delicious sauce always makes this dish a must order.
Fried Spring Rolls
Good and crunchy! Delicious when dipped in the sweet and slightly spicy sauce Jade Palace provides.
Birthday Noodles
This is really good! The noodles are cooked well with the other ingredients providing the wonderful flavor!
Its wonderful how our country comes together when a lot of people are in need. But one of my favorite blogger couldn’t have said it any better…charity does begin at home!
Happy Bday Claring! Thanks for all the help!
i had the same cake a couple of weeks ago on my bday too! š
…charity should be infectious.
