Weekend Food Choices Week 10: Sweeter with the Second Look
This week we decided that our choices would be based on the cuisine we were craving for
Weekend Food Choices:
- Japanese
- Italian
- Vietnamese
Our Choice:
The first i’ve seen of this restaurant was in the Atrium of Megamall. Once, when we were trying to figure out what to eat, hubby and i stood at its entrance but decided to go somewhere else.
This time im glad we entered its doors.
The ambiance of Amici is casual
Groups of families and friends fill the restaurant with happy chatter
There are menus available for you to look at, but you will have to approach the counter to make your order and pay for your food. Your food will however be brought to you by a friendly staff.
If you want wine with your pasta, there is a separate wine menu. There are just a couple of house wines available which can be bought by the bottle. One of Amici’s chef said you could also bring your own wine but a they charge a corkage of P100 per bottle of wine brought in.
I, of course, wanted pizza and chose the Al Quattro Formaggi
The pizza is freshly baked in plain sight of the diners and that makes you kind of uhmm…salivate (hahaha!) as you anticipate your pizza experience.
Our pizza looked wonderful
and it tasted even better! The parmesan, mozzarella, cream cheese and blue cheese melted on the pizza’s thin crust was delicious! I did however wish the crust was less floppy. Did i mention the cheese were delicious?!!
Hubby ordered Penne Al Salmone Affumicato
It was a good pair, our pizza and pasta!
For dessert you could order gelato from the adjoining gelateria
This dessert bar has cakes and gelato that would make any sweet tooth happy
Hubby and i decided to be predictable and chose pistachio and nutella
What a sweet ending to a delicious dinner!
