Weekend Food Choices Week 52: Long Overdue R & R

We’ve always been taught to place high priority on family. That’s why when the rare time comes that i get to spend quality time with loved ones, we head to our favorite lazy retreat

Definitely one of my favorite places to run to when we have limited time off.

Yes i know it used to be less busy but the serenity that the chilly winds still bring always make me forget about the busy life we left behind.

…of course it helps that there are so many food places to enjoy!

Because my dear mom had been craving for local food, we made sure she got all the Pinoy food she wanted.

I, on the other hand, had another agenda

i wanted a nice place to lounge

enjoy the company of my loved ones

and be lazy relax

smell the flowers

and get some quality shuteye

After settling in, we decided to go back to the lobby lounge.

What else could be better than a good cup of coffee enjoyed in front of a beautiful view

No matter how many times i’ve seen it, this little active volcano still takes my breath away!

We ended our first day with a nightcap

enjoying a good laugh with each others stories

beside the warm crisp fireplace

The next day we woke up to a cool sun drenched day

had breakfast

then visited the place where ODB had officially started

exhausted from the walk down memory lane we were craving for some comfort food

Satisfied from our binge we headed back to our holiday nook

We ended our second night with a little pampering at the spa

and woke up the next day to another lovely morning only to realize that it was time to check out soon and get back to reality

…not until we had our fill of breakfast that is!

why do vacations always seem to go by so fast?!
