Dining Out Alone
I’ve never had trouble eating alone in public. Maybe it has something to do with being an only child for a long time… but i really don’t feel the need to have someone beside me to blend in with the dining crowd. This comes in handy when hubby goes out of town…
These are my favorite dining alone spots of the week:
(documented by my htc desire -forgive the lack of clarity and focus in some of the photos)
Breakfast at Cafe Breton
Good Old Times and Bright New Beginnings
What better way to spend a friday evening but with good friends.
We decided to have a little get together dinner at Kulinarya. It was too bad there were a couple of people who couldn’t make it that night…
Our dishes:
Bangus Belly
Fatty bangus belly topped with mozzarella.
This is one of the new dishes of Kulinarya. It was actually pretty good. I said i wasn’t going to eat rice (talk about lack of self control!) but the fish just wasn’t the same eaten alone.
These pork riblettes were so tender hubby finished the half rack before i knew it
After dinner, we headed for SGD’s usual night cap
Old Fashioned Glazed Doghnut
I love this simple pastry
we all got to reminiscing the time when we rented a 3 room apartment so that we could all review for the boards. At that time, our innovative friend JMAG gathered marshmallows and chocolates from the ref to make some smores
everyone smiled at the memory of all the silly things we did…some things never change
On the contrary, this month, my favorite coffee company had chosen bring into their stores the new logo they unveiled at the start of the year to celebrate their 40th anniversary.
This is the 4th version of the company’s logo since its beginning in 1971
Apparently the changes represent the company’s move to drop the boundaries of it’s business and grow into new areas.
and just like Starbucks the SGD friends seem to be moving out of their boundaries and establishing themselves in their own niche…such a wonderful thing indeed to have good friends on their way to happiness and success!
Life is like a Coffee Cup Half Full
I know of a number of people who just can’t seem to get any satisfaction from life.
Christmas Eve Peculiarities
It’s been a long time since i’ve had noche buena (midnight celebration).
Earth Day
today is earth day and what better way to celebrate than by remembering our conscious endeavors to save mother earth!
here are a few of my own ways of helping out
1. using recyclable bags when shopping
2. bringing my sigg when im out so that i wont have to buy bottled water to quench my thirst
3. using products with non toxic ingredients like messy bessy
4. getting my weekly dose of eco living tips from ideal bite
5. and using my collection of starbucks tumblers (or a mug) when im getting my caffeine fix
what have you done for mother earth lately?
Happy earth day everyone!
