Birthday Breakfast
today is Hubby’s birthday and because he wanted to celebrate low key, he didn’t want me to plan his big day…so i decided we would have a whole weekend smorgasbord instead
so for breakfast we went back to Milky & Sunny
beverages were a bit disappointing…i guess its hard to top hubby’s great home brews with freshly ground beans and perfect thick milk froths
fortunately the food was pretty good
Hubby decided to order their breakfast enchilada
i really loved this savory dish.
the sweet tomato, spinach, red beans and mushroom filling was really delicious! although the carnivore in hubby complained that there weren’t any meat in the dish, i would definitely order this again.
I ordered one of my favorite breakfast dish, the eggs benedict
english muffin, canadian bacon, a poached egg -so it should be “egg benedict” harharhar! *hubby rolls his eyes* and hollandaise sauce.
Milky & Sunny’s version of the eggs benedict had thin hollandaise sauce and only one egg. it was a decent dish but i still prefer myrons or cafe 1771’s eggs florentine.
but there’s nothing a nice runny yolk can’t fix…
Happy birthday Hubby! Thanks for putting up with all my quirky ways! I can’t wait for our dinner date!
Wow birthdays will definitely feel more special if your breakfast is this delicious. Happy Birthday to your dear Hubby =)
Thanks for the greets Eileen!
