Weekend Food Choices Week 75: Breakfast Love Part I

Hubby took me on a different date this weekend. We got up earlier than usual and had breakfast in Milky & Sunny

We were the 3rd group of customers to come in that morning and right off i noticed the basket of fresh fruits on the counter

Realizing that their fresh fruit juice was probably actually fresh, i decided to order my favorite breakfast drink next to coffee

their orange juice is pretty good but a bit mild compared to the zesty orange juice that i like

Hubby decided to order their Tapa rice meal after spying a good plate at the next table

For the rice meals you can choose from either steamed or fried rice & fried or scrambled eggs. Hubby chose fried rice and fried egg. He was not disappointed with his dish. The meat was tender and tasty. Although the egg could have been better (the yolk more runny)… and who eats one egg for breakfast these days?!

I chose the omelette & extra strips of bacon with classic fluffy pancakes

The strips of bacon was disappointing. Small hard strips that made me miss the large crispy pepper maple bacon my baby sister used to cook for us when we visit her house …

Fortunately, the omlette made up for the disappointing bacon. The egg was light and the sausage & mozzarela made a great filling

The pancakes were also wonderful!

A pair of decently sized breakfast classic

The syrup was pretty good but i wish there were more on the table so i could smother my pancakes in it & the serving of butter was a bit tiny compared to how i like my pancakes

…but boy were these pancakes fluffy!!

What’s with the Part I in the title of this post, you ask? Well, we enjoyed our breakfast date so much that hubby already scheduled a next one in a couple of weeks…so till next time, here’s to a good week filled with delicious meals!

    • I can’t wait either! Time seem to go so slow when major vacations are up ahead! From what i hear, it won’t just be bacon that you’ll be serving with all your new kitchen gadgets at hand =P
