Sweet Getaway -an Epilogue

we love breakfast

breakfast buffets are always something to look forward to when we go on vacation

and although Taal Vista has a modest breakfast buffet compared to other hotels, the nice view and the cool crisp air makes up for any inadequacy

after a hearty morning meal and a second round at the spa, we headed home rejuvenated…but of course the trip home would not be complete without stop over meals

we decided to check out the new restaurants at Solenad-Nuvali and happily found Buffalo Wings and ThingsChubby Rib Shack where we had lunch

the nacho chips are delicious! they were still warm fresh from the oven with a slightly salty aftertaste…i hope Buffalo Wings have this on their menu so i can order it in Manila

the ribs were pretty good, soft, tasty and enough for two if you’re not starving

dessert was at Fruits in Ice Cream

i wanted a tangy flavored dessert so i ordered the calamansi flavored sorbet which didn’t come close to my favorite limoncello…booooo

it was more like shaved ice with food coloring…

fortunately hubby was happy with his deliciously thick strawberry shake

…i should have gotten the milk tea ice cream…oh well, you’ll never learn if you never try!

Where do you love to go for short vacations?

  1. I like to try that milk tea ice cream too. The breakfast, especially those pancakes and waffles with berries on top look enticing. šŸ™‚

  4. they have the milk tea flavor in their scooping stations. I tried it in Trinoma and reckon it should be available in Rockwell also. Its quite good, you should also try out the Belgian chocolate which reminded me of Chocolait.
