Weekend Food Choices Week 50: How Not to Lose Weight
Hubby influenced me to do laps with him once a week and im up to 700 meters *yay* …a far cry from his 1600 but hey, its only been a few weeks!
The chill of night swimming often makes me crave for a warm bowl of soup and i knew exactly where to get a good slurp last weekend
My only requirement after our swim date is that we eat somewhere my dripping locks wont elicit horrified stares.
Kopi Tiam in Benitez Street is an old house converted into a restaurant.
We ate here after our first trip to the aquatic sports arena to get some warm binondo mami.
The ambiance is laid back and it seems people there wont really mind what you come in as…
On our return they showed us back to our previous booth and i felt like a regular *snicker*
This time we came for Kopi Tiam’s Laksa
Piping hot tasty laksa…yummmyyy!
We ordered some dimsum for our appetizer
you can’t go wrong with siomai…just dip in soy sauce with chili oil and pop in your mouth
For our main dish we had Yang chow fried rice with King Dao Spareribs
and some warm, thick laksa…perfect!
We ended our satisfying dinner with coffee
…this is definitely not a very good activity after swimming we thought…
…but it was definitely delicious!
sarap, doc mitzi!
we have kopi tiam here in georgetown, penang!
i am an avid fan of yang chow fried rice and dim sum too! so this reminds me to eat chinese over the weekend, haha! š
PS : i invite you and your readers to join my little blog contest, link on my site. thanks!
Daaahling, I could write the book on how not to loose weight, but if you have fun doing it, it makes the extra thigh meat a little more bearable lol. What a great meal.
