Weekend Food Choices Week 47: Omakase

We had dined in Omakase Libis a couple of years ago but parking was a pain so when we found a branch in GH, to say that we were delighted would be an understatement!

Tabemasho!

Omakase is actually a term used in sushi restaurants to signify that you entrust your food selection to the chef.

although this restaurant offered a la carte dining, we had such a hard time choosing which sushi we wanted we decided we would just get a boat and sort of go omakase

We decided to heat up our tummies with some delicious sukiyaki as we waited for our sushi/sashimi platter

our server asked us if we had wanted the soup split and as it seemed like a good idea, hubby and i agreed. I was however disappointed that they had pre mixed the raw egg into our sukiyaki. i always like breaking the yolk just in time before i start slurping but obviously, i could not do this today. But a sip of the delicious broth made me forget about this booboo.

deliciously sweet broth

It wasn’t long until our boat arrived

The Sushi Boat includes a selection of nigiri, sushi and sashimi enough for 3-4 people

apparently, it was just hubby and me

but because the selection was pretty good, we didn’t really need any help

What a delicious lunch we had today! Looks like we have a new place to go for our Japanese fix…

    • Hi entrepgirl! the prices are actually pretty affordable for good japanese food. you’ll be spending less than P500 per person (as long as you don’t plan on stuffing yourself that is! hahaha!). Im not very familiar with the branch in ATC but apparently its in Casa Susana Bld. I hope you find it! Let us know what you think of Omakase when you get a chance to dine there =)
