Weekend Food Choices Week 40: Satisfying a Sleepyhead’s Craving

In my sleepy state last weekend, i realized i was craving for this

So we headed to Jozu Kin for their black tiger prawn tempura

After Kuretake closed down, Jozu Kin became hubby and my go to Japanese restaurant.

I really like the restaurant’s uniquely cozy and subdued interiors

Jozu Kin’s complementary appetizers are pretty good and im always tempted to ask for seconds

We ordered a dish of assorted sushi

Although the dish did have a pair of unagi sushi, it only had 1 piece of uni, which is one of my favorite. Hubby of course knew this and willingly gave me the lone uni sushi

We also had a hot bowl of sukiyaki

It was pretty satisfactory but i believe i’ve had tastier sukiyaki

Whenever we order this dish, we always ask the server not to mix the raw egg in the dish because I love adding the egg just before i eat my sukiyaki

Oh, and lets not forget the black tiger prawns which i was craving for
deliciously crunchy and generously sized tempura…perfect!

To top off our weekend dinner we ordered mucovado creme brulee

It wasn’t as sweet as the usual creme brulee and that was exactly what i wanted, a subtle finish to a satisfying dinner

Have a great week everyone!

  3. Those prawns look scrumptious! As for sukiyaki, however, I’m still a fan of the one served at Kimpura.
