discoveries after the wedding bells

Back from 2 Months of Hibernation and Still Hungry

It’s been almost 10 weeks of silence and I’m happy to break it today. By a lucky turn of events, my 12 hour day schedule was moved up 12 hours later and (un)fortunately it was too late to fill in the void so Im leisurely watching my favorite news channel while thinking about that wood fired pizza that hubby and i had a month ago

My mom treated hubby and i to Le Reve, the 3rd addition to the Cirque du Soleil shows we’ve watched so far.

I particularly liked the show because of the unique water environment where the dramatics were performed in, but i must admit that holding my breath during the acrobatics which often ended with splashes in a seemingly shallow water stage, got me a little hungry.

So after the show, hubby and i decided to forgo our initial plan to get drinks at Parasol to unwind in front of Wynn’s Lake of Dreams and headed to Stratta.

Stratta is a casual Italian eatery named after it’s famed chef Alessandro Stratta. The restaurant has 3 sets of menu, one for lunch, one for dinner and a special starlight menu for food served from 11pm to 6am. The wood fired pizza instantly caught my attention

Bosco Wood Fired Pizza

I remember picking up a slice, and as i was about to take a bite, the aroma of the truffle instantly made my brain think “wow!”, and that was even before the pizza touched my palate! Imagine that! It was delicious even before it was tasted *drool*

The white glob that topped each slice were generous portions of Robiola cheese. For the locals of the Alpine foothills, this cheese is said to rival the internationally famous Gorgonzola and i will have to agree with them! The Robiola cheese on the Bosco wood fired pizza was wonderfully soft and smooth and and the pureed mushroom covered bread which they topped was heaven. I absolutely loved this dish!

Hubby decided he would order something ordinary. At first, i thought maybe it was so he could see if Stratta can serve an ordinary dish differently, but then knowing him all too well, it was probably more because he wanted his beef patty comfort food

Stratta Burger

It was as good as any delicious burger could be but my attention went to this

Stratta French Fries

The parmigiano covered fries were so crispy and so delicious that it instantly became my favorite fries in the world. I could not believe the simple french fries could be elevated to such a level!

It was definitely a good dinner
……and Our Daily blog is definitely back from hibernation!
