Beat the Heat

The grueling weather doesn’t seem to want to let up and what better way to beat the heat than with this

There was a time that Hubby and i got addicted to Razon’s halo halo but we’ve been too busy lately to indulge. So when we had half an hour to spare before hearing mass, we decided to stop by Milky Way to cool off from the heat outside.

Hubby and i thought that the ice was as finely shaved as Razon’s halo halo, but the various components of Milky Way’s version of the dessert made it distinct.

After finishing our dessert, we both agreed that Razon’s halo halo was still at the top of our list. It is creamier and less complex.

But hey…a cool treat is better than no treat at all in this heat!

What’s your favorite summer snack?

  1. i have not tried Milkyway’s version of halo-halo but from the pic, it looks like the same ingredients as ‘isang dosenang halo halo’. like you i like razon’s better, the perfect proportion of macapuno, sweetened saba, leche flan and finely shaved ice is to die for.

  5. While Milky Way’s halo-halo is a classic, I still prefer the one at Razon’s. It’s much simpler, but it’s sooo satisfying.

  6. Hooray for Razon’s. It’s still my favorite, too, although I haven’t tried Milkway. Where can I find one?
