discoveries after the wedding bells

Marriage of Two Favorites

My good friends know that there are two things i love after a good meal, either delicious coffee or a cool dessert.

Getting both after dinner, is just pure bliss
Vanilla and Tiramisu Affogato

We were exploring all the new places we could try out at Venice Piazza when i saw this small shop which i’ll probably be visiting quite often.

I read about Sol Gelato from The Thirsty Blogger when i was trying to look for a good place to get affogato.

The display of gelato was definitely inviting

but hubby and i were both feeling more adventurous and decided to leave the plain gelato for another day.

Hubby ordered a Vanilla Gelato Shake
“It’s good” hubby says after taking a sip. I couldn’t agree more. A delicious smooth blend that had just the right sweetness.

I of course decided to get both of my after meal favorites

What i love about Sol Gelato’s affogato is that they don’t mix the espresso and gelato before they serve it to you. This avoids melting the gelato all the way before i can get to it.

Oh, and did i mention that they give you generous scoops of any two gelato flavors of your choice.

The Vanilla and Tiramisu gelato seemed perfect with strong espresso

The gelato started to melt and create a creamy froth on top of the espresso

Delicious with the complementary chocolate biscotti!

  1. wow this is all new to me except the vanilla shake. i’ve always seen such (gelato) at the malls but I never really paid attention until now because you have such lovely images of how it should be served and eaten.

  2. I agree! They shouldn’t mix the espresso and the gelato before serving! the stick house’s affogato looks terrible compared to this one! šŸ™‚ Where is this place located?
