discoveries after the wedding bells

It’s not always what you expect

Today, i took off my rose colored glasses yet again…

The sun was out and snow patrol was blaring through my speakers as i made my way to a long overdue meet up with one of my best gal pal and fellow control freak YAC. I was enjoying the drive when i realized all the U turn slots were closed along the whole stretch of the road i was driving! *drat!* oh well, the late lunch would be worth it i thought.

We were having lunch at Mom & Tina’s, a cozy place that serves good meals, good coffee and good desserts.

The first time i came here the restaurant was still hidden inside the building it now fronts. Back then it only had 4-5 square tables and the counter was within arms reach from each chair. I remember ordering lasagna that day and thinking that it was one of the best i’ve ever tasted.

I always end up ordering this when i crave for pasta but today i thought it could be better (more meat, less runny, etc)

but i did scrape the bottom of the dish…

The girly chit chat was enlightening, a little disturbing but enlightening. And that’s when i realized:

Ordering food is a lot like life, often times you think you know what you want. Most of the time you’re right, but sometimes you’re not, yet you go ahead and finish it anyway…because it’s the right thing to do even if it’s not always exactly what you expect…but that’s life, beautiful none the less!

Thanks for the girl talk YAC!

  1. is this the Mom and Tina’s at C5? nakaka discourage pumunta dito because of the far u turn slots along C5.

korek about ordering food and life… if living life is always you have expected then its now to live anymore and no new lessons to learn to live a better life. 🙂

    • yes urban mudra! don’t you think its a little mindless to direct everyone to the end of the road just to make a U turn?! instead of easing traffic they created and will continue to create traffic jams along the whole stretch of C5! the signage’s didn’t say until when this crazy scheme would be effective, i wish someone would explain the logic behind the change (if there is any)!
