discoveries after the wedding bells

A HOPeful Beginning

It was the first day of the month, my first day at my new work place, and look what greeted me on my desk!

One of the food items my mom allowed me to make when i was younger was polvoron. You see, i was rarely allowed in the kitchen, and hence my incompetence in cooking -poor hubby! I remember finding a polvoron recipe in my home economics manual in school and realizing that it was pretty easy to make. It just called for milk, sugar, butter and rice crispies if my memory serves me right, mixed together in a dry pan until golden brown. My siblings and i had a blast shaping the powdery treats and had an even more wonderful time gobbling them up.

Apparently, it takes more than just mixing and browning to make a good polvoron.

House of Polvoron boasts of being the only polvoron making specialist in the country, producing the best tasting polvoron made from the freshest and finest ingredients.

Now, im no polvoron expert but HOP’s sweet treat definitely brought back happy childhood memories!

-delicious with a cup of brewed coffee!
