A Delicious Dish Craving
Im feeling a little under the weather and if there’s one thing im craving for, it’s the delicious porridge that my cousin in law cooks.
We visited Denver when the weather began to get chili and we all decided that home cooked arroz caldo (chicken porridge) would be perfect.
When I woke up, the stove was already fired up under a big pot of arroz caldo and a smaller pan of fried tofu.
Hubby was in charge of the sauce and garnish for the tokwa’t baboy (tofu and pork), a yummy side dish for the chicken porridge.
It wasn’t long before the pot of porridge was ready for our plates (and tummies!)
The tofu was cut and mixed with the boiled pork.
The table was set
Everything was delicious!
The arroz caldo was perfectly cooked and the tokwa’t baboy a delicious partner!
Now that really got me craving! *sigh*
interesting combination of arroz caldo and tokwa’t baboy. i will try this some time. 🙂
Arroz caldo sounds sooooo good right now! My husband loved tokwa’t baboy from his first try but I don’t know how to make it! 8-( I will have to learn soon.
Hi urban mudra, its delicious, you should give it a try!
Tangled Noodle, from a watchers point of view, the tokwa’t baboy looked fairly easy to make, boiled pork and fried tofu is all but its the sauce that makes or breaks the side dish. a mixture of soy sauce, vinegar, onions, salt & pepper and a touch of sugar, delicious!
GRABE ! This looks SO delicious!!!!
yes kaye it was VERY delicious! =)
