A Great Day to Celebrate with Good Food
Last Saturday, we attended the Christening of a friend’s baby girl at the UP Diliman Chapel.
Hubby was the official photographer and i made my debut as the lone lights man.
I didnt really mind standing behind the limelight for a while because i was too excited at the thought of the reception.
I love the food in Chocolate Kiss. Everything ive ever ordered there has always been really delicious (ok, ive only been there a couple of times but really, food is great, not to mention the cakes and coffee!)
The buffet spread got us all drooling and so we were elated when the appetizer table was opened
There was caesars salad and chips with various dips including salsa, cream cheese and cheddar
So much good food…
I have to say the Roast Beef was my favorite dish in the spread. The beef was so tender that it fell apart on transferring from the chafing dish to my plate.
Chicken Kiev
Hubby liked this the best because of the creamy filling.
The roulade of tender chicken breast was filled with cream cheese, butter, and herbs.
Hickory Smoked Spareribs
This was delicious as well! The smoky taste combined with the sweet sauce of the tender pork was a treat!
Crispy Fish Fillet
Alfredo
Fettuccine, basil, special Alfredo sauce and strips of chicken fillet.
Hungarian Sausage & Penne
Mouth-watering Hungarian slices, sautéed with fresh tomatoes, bell pepper, and olive oil.
The dessert table had carrot, date walnut, kahlua butter, and dayap chiffon cakes. There were also fudge walnut brownies and chocolate chip bars.
The Dayap Chiffon Cake was our favorite because the marshmallow icing was delicious especially when paired with Chocolate Kiss’ strong brewed coffee!
It was a great day despite the rains.
A great day for the apprentice photographer’s assistant…
…and for the adorable little angel that joined the Catholic community.
