discoveries after the wedding bells

great expectations

this was in the conversation we had over soft taco, fajitas and a giant glass of lemonade……i have realized that i like to be recipients of talent, i like to appreciate rather than deliver. This realization came while listening to the pianist hammering away on the keys producing lively and beautiful music. pangs said it was a pity that i had not continued my piano lessons as a child. if i had i would have had a chance to play with his band. i said i really dont like doing things like playing instruments or cooking…..i would rather listen to someone else play the music and taste the delicious food someone else cooks. thats me….and i asked him jokingly “why, did you want a domesticated wife?” yes was the pouty answer to my question and i said “ohh no….you married the wrong person!” funny how these expectations come up when you thought you knew each other well. i guess the trick is…..well, there is no trick, i guess if you had enough courage to marry someone then there are qualities about that person you so adore that the other expectations doesnt really matter in the greater scheme of things!
