Solo Food Adventure: Carne Asada Taco Salad & Mexican Soup

Since Hubby will be gone for a very long 6 week business/vacation trip, i decided that instead of moping around like the poor abandoned wife that i am -just kidding, i would review restaurants that are good places to eat alone in.

So here goes…

Carne Asada Taco Salad (Php 265 )

Orale is one of my favorite default dine out place. A casual Mexican restaurant frequented by a lot of expats, i chose to start off my solo food adventure here in the hope of making myself feel i was out of town as well…

Why it’s a great place if you’re alone:
The tables are relatively small. Good for 2 to 4 people, you will never feel lonely sitting by yourself at your table. In fact, i was not the only one that day who was chowing solo. Plus the staff are extra friendly (they ought to be to keep the foreign customers coming back) so eating delicious Mexican dishes is always enjoyable here.

i was in luck today because the kitchen staff cooked up a new dish, a sort of tortilla soup, which they wanted the diners to try for free

With the melted mozzarella, meat, tortilla and chili, it was like a Mexican French onion soup. A bowl of comfort for my first Solo Food Adventure

with one hand on the spoon, i had to move the camera instead of the lens to focus but photo still turned out to be a blur…argh!

Where do you go when you want to eat out alone?
