Delicious Thai Dishes with Great Friends

I’ve been so behind on my blog posts that i’ve actually got a few sets lined up but tonight’s dinner was so great i just had to post it immediately.

My residency batchmates and i are great friends. Even if we’ve been apart for a while, we still manage to have a great time when we’re together. AST recently opened her MATI clinic and since her hubby recently celebrated his birthday as well, they decided to treat us to a delicious Thai dinner at Basil.

I’ve read about the good reviews on Basil but hubby and i have never been around the area during weekends so i was really excited to try their dishes.

I definitely was not disappointed

Fresh Spring Roll

A fresh mix of shrimp, ground pork and fresh vegetables rolled in rice paper served with tamarind sauce

Thai Crispy Fish with Green Mango Salad (Php325)

Combination of crispy airy nest of fish meat and a tart, sweet salad of fresh green mango

Spicy Seafood Soup (Php 298)

Thai Style Fried Noodles (Php325)

Spicy Wagyu Beef Short Ribs (Php355)

…there were more…Chicken with Cashew Nuts, Wagyu Beef with Holy Basil, Crispy Fish with Three Flavored Sauce…and for dessert we had Sticky Rice with Mango and Thai Mixed Iced Dessert

…all so, so delicious!

Delicious dishes with wonderful friends…just can’t be beat!

Thanks for all the hilarious stories! We had such a great time!!

  1. Great pics, definitely mouth-watering! I love Thai food, are there a lot of spicy dishes too?

Nice to see everyone having a good time. Food looks really good! Chrish and I should try it out soon. :)

    • RJ, the dishes are pretty spicy but you could actually ask them to customize your order. This place is definitely a good find!

  2. Sounds like a great place. Why are most of the nice places tucked away there in the North? *sigh*

    • Hi Guia, this place is actually a little to the South…if that’s a consolation. It’s actually 5 minutes away from The Medical City in Ortigas.
