A Wonderful Neighborhood Food Find
Today we will soon bid goodbye to the Ox to welcome the Tiger. To celebrate the eve of this event and the eve of hearts day, Hubby, Tat and I drove a couple of meters away from home to have dinner at Poco Deli.
A full shelf of wine bottles will greet you when you enter the deli-cafe

A cooler full of deli goodies is also strategically placed to tempt you as you walk to your table

I couldn’t believe that i passed by this place twice a day for months now and waited so long to visit!

I was delighted to know i now have a place close by for my cheese fix!

Now, when a place has a corner just for me, im positively sure that im going to enjoy my stay!

I thought that the place was nicely decorated.

It’s somewhere you could unwind with friends but also a good enough place for a simple date.

We started with a bottle of white wine and a cold cut platter
This platter was to contained spanish chorizo, prosciutto and another ham whose name escapes me right now. I was actually a bit confused because i just recognized 2 kinds of cold cuts on the plate, but maybe i was wrong.
Tat was drawn towards the Spanish Callos advertised on the menu board as the day’s special
A good choice with such good flavor!
Hubby decided he’d have Pomodoro pasta
Delicious! He seemed almost resentful when i told him to give Tat and i a taste of his dish! hahaha!
I was being my predictable self and ordered 4 cheese pizza.
They make the pizza as it is ordered (although the crust is pre made)
It turned out to be a really good cheese pizza!
Wonderful, hot off the oven!
The owners of Poco Deli, a lovely couple, were around to entertain guests. They made everyone feel very welcome!
I was happy to find out that they serve Dave’s frozen yogurt. This makes such a good addition to this already wonderful deli!

Hubby decided he would get a cup of strawberry yogurt
unexpected, yes, but definitely to my delight!
I decided to finish my good meal with a cup of brewed coffee and a red velvet cupcake (and of course a couple of spoonfuls of hubby’s yogurt)

As we left the Little Deli-Cafe, the owners saw us off and bid us goodbye. I thanked them for a wonderful dinner.
I told them what any satisfied customer would say, i told them we would definitely be back…and just between you and me, i’m almost sure that will be very soon!

im drooling to that pizza and cupcake! how was the cupcake?
The cupcake was actually very good. Still moist despite the storage in the cooler. I actually like this better than the red velvet i tasted in UCC. happy hearts day dyanie!
Ooh, Poco Deli. I visited this place last year when they were still on their soft opening. I bought Dave’s fro-yo kasi. I’ll try to go back here again to try their fares. The Callos looks divine!

relaxed interiors too.
Now you have me craving for callos AND frozen yogurt!

Doc, if you are ever in Pasig, you must give this place a try!
Midge, the callos and the frozen yogurt were both winners!
My wife saw this place when we were leaving Charlies last week. She asked me about it and I said it must be some deli as the name says, did not know they served food. Must try this place in the future.
Hi Richard! I’ll visit your shop on Thursday =)
Belated Happy Heart’s Day Mitzi!

Hi Rina! Its always wonderful to know friends drop by our blog =)
I’m also guilty of putting off visiting a food venue until regretting for doing so after the first visit. That deli place sure looks homey. If we only have such a store near our place… Yet another pizza (coming from Doc Gelo’s blog)! That cheese pizza looks simple but I bet it’s not forgettable.
Hi FLF! the pizza is delicious because they are so generous with the different cheese toppings, and im such a cheese person =)
i love the place too. the food’s great and it’s a great place to just relax and unwind. sonny and joy are the perfect hosts. : )would be alright to share your blog on FB so that others can read about it? please let me know. thanks!
