Weekend Food Choices Week 16: Eating Lightly with a Bee
We were headed to a special event last weekend and chanced upon this

…thinking bee, thinking bee, thinking bee…
we made a sharp U turn and decided to get a light meal

someone familiar welcomed us in

i swear, doesn’t this bee look like the gramps of jollibee?!
we started our meal with choices from the dimsum cart

this was my favorite because the shrimps inside the dumpling was so succulent!

this seafood dimsum consists of fish fillet and crab meat topped with mushroom

the ubiquitous sharks fin dumpling also found its way to our table

this is another favorite dimsum of mine, spare ribs with taosi…yummmy!

we were definitely two happy dimsum eaters!
And because we were having dinner with friends that night, we decided to veer away from rice (although ive heard raves about this place’s fried rice! next time…) and decided to just go with the seafood crispy noodles

and beef with broccoli

What’s a meal without dessert?
we had hubby’s favorite almond lychee

and a refreshing glass of sago & gulaman

A light meal? well, not really, but it was definitely delicious!

the second food photo is the Sea King Roll
I totally cracked up when you said that bee looks like Jolibee’s gramps! How funny and true! I LOVED crispy fried noodles as a kid and haven’t had it in years. Now I’m totally craving! I’ve never seen the fish fillets with the mushrooms and crab but it looks really yummy!
hi JP and Cookie! yes the fish with mushroom and crab is the sea king roll. it was good but the shrimp lover that i am, i thought the 1st dimsum we had was the yummiest! gosh i cant remember the name, i think it was birds eye or something (?!)
